MAF Technologies (formerly CRMF). Is now part of the wider community of MAF International and we are specializes in “Bringing Help, Hope and Healing through Aviation and Technology” thus our Mission statement. We are now operating under the umbrella of MAF as a program in PNG. Our goal as a mission is to provide quality technology and support to churches and missions in PNG.

MAF Technologies (formerly CRMF) offers a variety of goods and services. One of our main services is the monitoring of High Frequency (HF) radio which connects us to the remotest parts of Papua New Guinea. This service is the only means of communication for the remote people that keep them in touch with the outside world and to get goods and services to where they are.
PNG  has a rugged and mountainous terrain and there are no reliable transport that is suitable enough to travel on land to these remotest communities, only by air through the small planes or helicopters, which in some of these remote areas don’t travel there often but once in a while.
We monitor our channel through our working week Monday to Friday at our main office base and after hours, and on the Week ends at our residential bases. We help organize Medical Evacuations (MedEvacs), pass weather updates, flight shedules, notices, information and announcements. Many lives have been saved and helped through this channel of communication.

This lady started having complications with her pregnancy due to a history of miscarriages. The remote village where she reside in, made a medical call through the HF radio and informed us about her condition. A Medical Evacuation (MedEvac) was made with MAF and she was Medevaced to Goroka to receive medical treatment at the Goroka General Hospital.

Below are pictures of HF radio installs that were done at a remote village in a school in the Highlands area of Papua New Guinea. The education department needed a way to communicate with the teachers there so they contacted MAF Technologies (formerly CRMF) to carry out the task of bridging the communication channel between them through the means of HF Radio installation and communication.

MAF Technologies’ (formerly CRMF) main Communication Center is located in Goroka, Eastern Highlands Province. During our working hours that is 7:45am to 5pm in the afternoons, the HF Radio is monitored by the Radio Operator and after 5pm till 7:00pm in the evening and on the week ends, at our Residential Bases here in Goroka.
