Propagating the gospel despite limitations

by | Mar 8, 2023 | Digital Bibles: Audio Bibles, What MAF Technologies (formerly CRMF) Does

How widows and youths receive the gospel regardless of challenge with illiteracy.

In late February 2023, MAF Technologies donated 7 audio Bible devices to the Bethany Baptist Church-Mission in the Morobe province located in Papua New Guinea. Missionary Elajah Rapada, who has been serving there for nearly 8 years, received the audio Bibles and distributed them amongst the youths and widows of the church who are illiterate.

Bethany Baptist Church-Mission has been an active part of the local community ministering through Values Instruction Classes (VIC) conducted in public schools and prisons. They also provide outreaches, preaching and teaching the word of God as well as carry out Bible studies and also free classes on learning to read and write in English.

This is where Elajah saw the need to donate the Audio Bibles to the widows and youths of Bethany Baptist Church-Mission who were illiterate and yet still eager to know the word of God for themselves. He believes that the Audio Bible is the perfect tool and device to assist them in receiving the word of God whiles also learning to read and write.

“It would help them meet their immediate need to grow spiritually and participate in propagating the gospel despite their limitations while also learning to read and write,” Elajah Stated.

Elajah had come to know of MAF when he was accommodated by them during a Mission Conference at Rehoboth Baptist Church where he was invited to speak. He learnt about the audio Bibles for the first time through a conversation with MAF Technologies, General Manager, Bryan Mathews.

Upon receiving the donated audio Bible, they were very happy and thankful to God and for the ministry of MAF Technologies and also the individual donors who funded the audio devices that were donated to them. These audio devices will benefit them in their spiritual growth as well as their physical growth enabling them to learn how to read and write.
