Medical Evacuation After Birth Complications
Earlier this month, Moro Clinic Doctor from Oil Search foundation called CRMF on the landline to get clarity on a case reported to Moro Doctor by Fogomaiyu Radio Operator of a women having after birth complication and needed urgent medevac.
After CRMF got further information on the patient from the Fogomaiyu Radio Operator, we then reported back to the Moro Clinic Doctor. A 24 year old female gave birth to her first baby on the 15/10/2019. The first time mother was having complications after one week of delivering the baby.

The baby seemed to be doing well except for the mother who kept having ongoing and severe abdominal pains with heavy bleeding and discharge. She fainted on 3 occasions and could not move without being assisted. She was very pale and unable to eat well. This was relayed to the Moro Clinic Doctor by phone.
With this information on hand, the Moro Clinic Doctor (Oil Search) arrange for the Oil Search Helicopter to airlift the patient to Tari hospital on Saturday 02/11/2019 where the patient was treated.
